“Coats for Kids” Kick Off

United Way of Franklin County (UWFC) is excited to be kicking off our annual Coats for Kids drive! For the last 30 years, this program has helped keep students in our community warm by collecting and distributing new and gently used winter coats.

In order to move forward with Coats for Kids in the midst of a global pandemic, we’ve implemented some changes with both students and community members in mind. Instead of collecting, cleaning, and distributing coats, this year UWFC will holding a Facebook fundraiser to collect monetary donations. The proceeds of this campaign will help us purchase new coats for all students in need!

Did you know that UWFC is the only United Way organization for Ripley County? We are looking forward to extending our outreach into Ripley County in the coming year and are excited to share that Coats for Kids will be given to students in both Franklin and Ripley County!

We’ve reached out to all school counselors in both counties to share information about this program and to let them know how to submit coat requests. Coats for Kids will run through November 30, 2020. Please give through the Facebook fundraiser our website www.uwfcin.org or mail a donation to PO Box 105 Brookville IN,  with Coats for Kids specified in the memo.

United Way of Franklin County is celebrating its 30th year serving the community through fulfilling their mission to positively impact the lives of those in our community by assessing needs, uniting partner organizations, agencies and volunteers and devoting our financial resources and efforts to the most critical needs.
