Day of Caring

A record number of Franklin County citizens turned out to help with the annual “Day of Caring” on Saturday, October 13 sponsored by United Way of Franklin County.  Over 50 volunteers gathered on the beautiful fall day to visit thirteen different locations.  They raked leaves, washed windows, cleaned gutters, picked up trash, cleaned porches and siding, pulled weeds, and many other assigned tasks.  This annual United Way project was started in the year 2000 as an effort to provide a “helping hand” to members of the community.
